Alpha Park Library Policies & Ordinances
The Alpha Park Library has numerous policies related to a wide variety of topics. Here you will find basic information about how to get a library card, along with checkout periods for different library materials, from books to DVDs to much, much more. Also on this page are policies that affect the public, the staff, and the board of trustees. Additionally, the board’s by-laws and standing rules of order (procedures) are featured among the other policies.
Your Library Card:
An Alpha Park Library card is issued to any resident living
within District boundaries
who
presents proper identification showing current address. Parental signature is required for patrons
under age 14. Card-holders may borrow items from all area libraries, participate in library programs,
and make use of library facilities and computers.
Persons who live in an area that is not served by a public library, and for whom Alpha Park is the
closest library, may purchase a non-resident card. The current charge is $100 per year. For further

Video Games - 3 weeks
eBooks - Up to 21 days
Books on CD - 3 weeks
All other books - 3 weeks
Playaways - 3 weeks
Magazines - 1 week
CD-ROMs - 1 week
Music CDs - 3 weeks
Videos on DVD and Blu-Ray - 2 weeks
Toys and Games - 3 weeks
