Sat., July 13; 1:00-4:00 p.m.
The Great Library Race begins at the Alpha Park Library where your team of 2-6 people will race to see who can figure out the clues and fill their passports the fastest! Each team should include one member over 16 or have an adult chaperone. Ten clues will lead you to ten locations around Garfield Avenue and Airport Road. Each group will travel on foot, following all traffic laws and game rules, to complete their passports using the clues provided. First, Second and Third place prizes will be awarded and refreshments await your return to the library. Stop by the Information Desk to register your group before July 5 or call 309-697-3822, ext. 13 to register. Passports, rules & clues will be given to the groups the day of the event. Gather your family and friends, create a fun group name and enjoy a good old fashioned foot race!
Tuesday evenings 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Got Needles, Will Travel? Anyone with portable handiwork projects (knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, embroidery, weaving, etc.) is welcome to join this friendly group. From beginner to expert, you’ll find people to learn and laugh with.
