Anyone age 13+ may fill out the form below to apply for a volunteer position this summer. Positions fill quickly and we cannot guarantee placements/duties. Please contact the Outreach Department at 309-697-3822 x25 for more information.
Kick off day at the Library - Tuesday, June 4, 2024 from 3pm to 7pm.
Volunteer times can be scheduled in 1, 2, 3, or 4 hour increments. Needs include manning an information table, handing out popcorn, giving directions, crowd control, craft assistance, and more! This is a fun day with lots of little ones and parents attending. Join the fun as we encourage all ages to keep reading during the summer.
Summer Reading Program Volunteers at Alpha Park Library.
Throughout the summer we offer programs that volunteers can assist with. Needs include program set up and tear down, registration check off, crowd control, craft assistance, and more.
Youth Services Helper
Volunteering in Youth Services covers a lot of different activites including cleaning toys, crafting, prepping program materials, registration or sign ins, shelving, program set up and tear down, and more! It's a great way to learn how a library works.

Library & Park Clean Up Day, Sunday June 9, 2024 at 9am in Alpha Park.
This is the day after the Pool Days Carnvial and we gather together to clean up the Alpha Park and Pool grounds. Stay as long as you can. Bags provided. Open to ALL AGES! Big Foot Spottings are not guaranteed...but always possible!
